If your car is not overheating or having any cooling problems or losing coolant, the higher pressure radiator cap is unnecessary. All it does is raise the boiling point of your cooling system due to the higher pressure of the rad cap.
In my case, I was losing a little water (needed topping up once / week), and for instance, after a hard autocross or high speed highway run, coolant would be bubbling through the overflow hose. I installed a Greddy 1.3bar rad cap & the problem was solved. I will mention that my VR4 is running a 1 bar which is almost twice the stock boost level.
