I am wanting to upgrade the turbos, and from what i can see the Turbo from a Mitsubishi Pajero which is a TD04-12t Appears to have the same flange and bolt pattern as the stock turbos (td025-7g) which would be great!!

What do you think?

I don't think a TD04-12t is a significant upgrade over stock. This is a turbo from a diesel.

Have a read here on the significance of petrols vs diesel turbos:

The TD04 turbo family is the desired upgrade path for 6A13TT in general, but not the -12t in particular due to above.

Firstly, the turbos on a 6A13TT are TD03 for a start, plus the exhaust is a 5 bolt flange, certainly for the rear turbo, which you can see below (I am using 2x rear turbos on my Anglia)

74655

Secondly, I don't think a TD04-12t is a massively big improvement over stock to be worth the effort, often it's talked about using a TD04-19t as a replacement.

Thirdly, that TD04-12t you linked is oil cooled only, whereas our TD03s are both oil and water cooled.

Thanks for the info guys!

so TD04-19t is a common upgrade for the 6a13tt? do you also have an image of the front turbo (are they different?)

I have done alot of reading. Do you know of anyone upgrading the turbos but keeping stock manifold?

It is not easy but it is possible with subaru wrx fitment td04s.

I did see a post on here where a guy cut and welded on the subi flanges onto the manifold. Just need to fit two identical td04s at a good cost :)

This is probably on the TODO list of most people here :d

So I recently discovered that my cousin runs his own engineering business. Time to meet the family hahaha
