Custom VR-4 battery tie down

Hi guys. I made a custom battery tie down in work and decided I would make a few while I was at it. Figured some other people might be intrested in them. I made a batch of six including one for myself.

Their CNC machined from solid aluminium. I left them uncoated in case people want to paint them.

So Im selling five in total at £27 or €35 each, including postage.

Is it just the bar, i.e. you need to use the long bolts you already have?

Yes, its just the bar. I dont have materials suitable for making the long bolts.

Cool! What's the measurement between the bolt hole centres?

197mm centers, just like the standard 1. As you can see in the picture theres still a bit of wriggle space for slightly larger battery aswell. Although Im not sure whether the battery tray allows for a bigger battery.

Does the lower side have some nose/structure to secure the battery (like OE battery tie down has)? Some VR-4's have only the small jap size battery but your bracket is intended to work with the bigger europe spec batteries as I see. Can you post up a photo of the lower side please? 35 EUR, does this include shipping to Germany as well?

The back of these are level. I considered milling a step into it to allow it to sit over the battery but then it would weaken the bar as the clamping thickness is 5mm (10mm overall). Plus i reckon that the battery will still be held firm as its clamping down into a flat battery tray. Yes postage is the same for Germany.

Very pleased to hear that your happy with it. Yeah I could probably do the same for your brother. Are the bolt holes on FD3S slightly staggered? Also could you confirm the distance between the bolting points. Also if he wants one let me know what type of font he wants it. Usually I just make a template off of a logo or graphic. For example, i used the club vr-4 logo make your bracket.

I have another batch of these half made, but due to a sudden spike in work (I only make these when the machine is idle) these wont be ready for at least another week. Sorry to any of the other guys that are also waiting.
