Hi, does any have the part number for what I assume is the passenger side inner cv joint? (the one closet to the diff). Either that or does someone have a second hand one?
Mine has split the gaiter and I didn't realise till it started making noises :-(

post up you chassis number and i will run it through ASA to get the part number.
use the Davezj to let me know when you have posted up the chassis number.
The part number should be MR336614. It's stated as the right hand rear but it is the same for both right and left. Around £55 from a Mitsubishi dealer.

Thanks, had a look at the part, this looks to be the boot rather than the cv joint.

rear left male inner cup to diff MR336609

Sorry, I thought you wanted the boot. I didn't read it properly!

or

probably much cheaper to get a second hand rear drive shaft.

Thanks guys, had a chat with Mike but does look like the second hand route is better or possibly getting one reconditioned.

Having a few issues getting hold of a second hand one, can anyone tell me if the galant and legnum shaft are the same?
rear drive shafts will be the same.

Quick update, I managed to get a second hand one and fit it. I'm not sure a cv joint should make grinding noises :-(
Unfortunately it has decided to mix it's drinks though so and new diff is on the to do list now.
