Loving the car, I've always wanted one and now I've got one, I'm not disappointed.

Nice! Add seven to the number on your number plate and it could be mine!! :D

/Welcome

It looks like you have a type-v going by the lack of rear spoiler and arch extensions. Possibly a non-standard exhaust too but it is tricky to tell from that photo.
I hope you enjoy it! /yes

Ha, number plate siblings.
It is a non-standard exhaust, pretty nice one too, put on by the previous owner.
Nice to know a bit more about the car too, was only aware of a Type S before, would there be a definitive telltale on the car?

AYC.
If your dash shows ayc and lights up on cornering then you have a type s. If jot then it is a type v.

There are people on here who love AYC and those who think its a pain, especially when it goes wrong!

As Tim says, pros and cons for AYC. If you ever want to go silly power, or tinker with the handling, then you have LSD options that will drop in your open diff casing. Us with AYC don't have that option. AYC helps you look like a good driver when you are only average. AYC has many different things that can go wrong and few people who understand how to put it right cost effectively.

I drove a VR4 for many years with broken AYC, effectively making it a heavy open rear diff. It is slightly different to drive but still a lot of fun and fast out of corners!
