depends if the evo has an active centre diff or not.

VR4 pump is the same as the evo without active centre diff.

the pump has an extra solenoid valve if it has active centre diff

What Dave said. If you get an Evo pump it should be enough to blank off the ACD output, and do not wire the ACD solenoid. Another difference is the pressure sensor - I do believe the Evo TME had the same kind as the VR-4, newer EVOs have a linear pressure sensor, while the VR-4 and older EVOs have a sensor which functions like an on/off switch.

Oh by the way there is a difference in the pressure switch from vr4 original ayc pump as well, PFL to FL. One is normally open the other is normally closed so when the correct pressure is reached by the pump the pressure switch will either go open or closed depending if you have PFL or FL. I can't remember which way round it is though.
Just keep the old pressure switch from you existing ayc pump and this will make sure you have the correct type of switch for you car.
