anyone know where a good place to get a 3" exhaust str8 thru from?? lookin in older threads and someone was saying mr muffler or pitstop....anyone got it done and was satisfied wit the job and price??
any help would be primo...came into some money and thought might as well, unless someone got better ideas?? reckon the standard 2.25" is all good or should just go for the 3" or even 2.5"??
plus any place for gettin tints installed? got a quote by a place in manukau for some legal mirror tints for $333...
anyways cheers

yo. Pitstop would be looking at charging you 7-800 for a cat back system. it would be one resonater and a performance muffler one muffler. and its not exactly straight through, they would use 2 45degree bends and 2 90 degree mandrel bends to make it up.

doesn't sound cheap but thats pretty much ball park for what most people would charge.

Depending on where you are, and how you get it done of course...

I've been quoted $300 by autobend in chch (Think they make the RAGE exhausts) to make up the downpipes up the the flexi, the rest of my exhaust is already 2.5" so kinda struck it lucky there.

Shady - have you got membership with NZMMC? They probably have a discount deal somewhere in auckland-ish sorta area.

Be careful with the mirror tints, there is a grey area here. From the LTSA manual of inspection: http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/publications/vir-manual/index.html#general

Grounds for rejection:

Glazing performance
13. The overall visible light transmittance (VLT)
(Note 4) of a windscreen is less than 70%.
14. The overall VLT of a front side window is less than
35%.
15. Glazing has a mirrored effect sufficient to dazzle
other road users.
