Im waiting for an up to date valuation from a local registration dealer. Thanks for the advice Dave, i'll see what the dealer says. Pete, my neighbour who was buying it let his car roll into the back of our almera, again! *%$*@* and cause £400 worth of damage /grr ....so we are now not talking/trying to repair car, and as a result im not selling it to him BUT i am desperate for money so it has to go.

Adam, thanks for the PM ive posted back.

Ive now bought another car but not a VR4, this is because i could not find an example currently for sale that could equal or better my last example! We will eventually be getting a Legnum for our family car as Claire is expecting our second child /help (otherwise i would have been after Kierens Saloon)

The 51 plate VR4 Saloon i was looking at was a manual but £17k, slightly over our budget! :embarasse so we didn't get it......

So for the time being i'll be a VR4 Enthusiast rather than owner...
