All fault codes can be easily read using simply a small length of wire (or paperclip!) using the "flashy dash" technique (https://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?45151-Reading-the-VR-4-s-Diagnostic-Codes)
Most fault codes, once fixed, will either clear themselves, or can be cleared from the ECU's memory simply by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
SRS (Airbag) faults, however, will not clear simply by disconnecting the battery, even once the original fault has been fixed, and require special hardware/software to do so.
Here is a list of devices we know will work:
Mitsubishi MUT-II and MUT-III
Snap-On Solus
Bluepoint G-Scan
Launch X431 Pro 3
If you need your SRS codes reset, ask your local garage if they have any of the above equipment.
Unfortunately, the following do not work:
Launch EasyDiag 2.0 (with XPro software)
If you know of any more tools that need adding to the list which definitely clear SRS fault codes (also useful are those which do not), please let us know!
