Hi people I’m the new guy, just wanna introduce myself

I’m Dave living in Auckland NZ and have a e84a 7g VR4 that has been my project for just over a year now, I have built her from the ground up doing 99% of the work myself so I have Definitely learned a thing or two haha

She is far from complete but I have big dreams for this car, Any questions and comments are welcome [emoji1]

Cheers Tar

I guess I should share a bit of the cars history to explain everything properly,
I rescued her from 5 years of sitting in a paddock never been touched, At first she ran really nice, the previous owner had over 50 cars sitting there, he made a custom exhaust right to the manifold in 3.5 inch or 4, it’s been a while since I got under there lol, then she got broken into with everything either broken or stolen, then blew the clutch line, and bonnet catch broke and smashed the windscreen, I swapped the springs and shocks with king springs lows as it had super lows which scrapped on potholes etc, I have stripped and rebuilt the interior as my garage filled her up with water, replaced every exterior panel plus cam belt water pump new break pads and rotors front and back , removed the intercooler for compliance (just for now plus not being driven like that), cv joints, wheel bearings, upgraded all the seats to the more comfortable 8g vr4 seats, plus a lot more I have forgot, basically I’ve spent a small fortune just getting her ready to get back on the road! She needs a couple more grand thrown at her then she will be fully legal,

Eventually I want to strip her backhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180531/2005b8995e6ea434fac53151f9876a6b.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180531/4cdec5721d4d42a0248b024e94f58d91.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180531/068c6b6e7d3d361173b4dd84ccc5009e.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180531/75f891a58181e8e965ba34d81be27664.png to the shell and get everything painted, rebuild the engine, and install a roll cage plus bucket seats,

There is much I’ve forgotten after spending many nights working on her haha

Fair play and good effort. Keep the pics and the build going, we love a good build thread! The 7g VR4 is a rare beast so even more unique!

Nice to see such a rarity being kept alive. Especially through such diversity!!
