wow...it's been quite a while since I've been on here...apologies ......Didn't think this day would come,but after more than 11 yrs of ownership the VR4 is going to be stripped for parts.....it has succumbed to 11 british winters and has got the dreaded rust/rot in parts of the rear chassis and rear arches starting to show....engine,auto box and running gear are all fine .....had many new parts fitted before she was SORNed 2 yrs ago.........but I have made the decision that I didn't want to make...PLEASE NOTE: I would prefer if you could pick up from me as I don't have lots of time to for couriers and packaging the parts etc..but not ruling anything out.Also any parts that would basically immobilise the car after they were removed are a bit of a non starter as it were due to the location of her...sorry for the restrictions on parts...but she has got some parts worth passing on to you guys out there and I will be hopefully getting sort of list together,i'm not going to be asking silly prices either,just trying to recoup some cash for my little MK1 Golf.

I may even offer a 'U-Pull it' type of service to you all to come and take what you need..lol...but I wont be holding at the bottom of the garden for ever...lol

Hey there, I tried sending you a PM but it said your inbox is full, so I'll just ask here.

I am interested in the left and right rear brake calipers. I believe they are the bigger ones which clamp onto a ventilated 284mm rear disc, correct? How much would you be willing to sell those two for (just the calipers).

And, this other question is on a friend's behalf, could you sell the front two uprights (knuckles), given they have the 160mm bolt spacing for the caliper mount.

not sure if the calipers are bigger Stefan...may be an issue with removing the knuckles if it immobilises the car sorry, but I'll try and check it out

No worries about the knuckles, I thought that may be the case but figured I'd ask still. As for the calipers, it should be real easy to check. The rear disc itself should visibly be ventilated (thicker, about 20mm thick), and roughly 284mm in diameter. Feel free to P.M me if needed, I don't want to spam your posting too much!

third and last PFL grill...can't remember the name of this one,but no matter,gives the VR4 a different look to standard,has a small corner crack in the plastic and to the paint but the crack isn't very deep,also a small crack on the top were the bonnet stay got trapped against it,in my opinion and they don't detract from its looks,would easily be disguised with fresh paint,I've tried to show as best i could in the pics...all fixings are there and in good condition,also comes with clips...£40

next for sale is the Powerflow exhaust,has been on the car for about 6 yrs,but still in really good nick for its age(stainless),comes including down pipe which has only done about 2k miles,but i think the lambda sensor had got cross threaded when fitted,because it didn't come out clean and has buggered the thread a bit...but saying that it may be salvageable for someone,has also had hanger snap off,but it never hung low enough to cause concern and would be an easy fix,has de-cat pipe and then one piece all the way to and including back box sounds rather nice and not too loud/obtrusive....without stating the obvious,i would like this to be 'Pick up only',i believe the cost of a courier may be quite expensive and i don't have the packaging material......looking for around £100,but open to offers...

hi Dan,i have no reason to believe they dont work Dan,but car has been off the road for 2 years,(they were working fine before hand)but she was run up' regularly up to temp,but not driven..also haven't tried to remove them...i will try over the next few days/weekend to investigate for you....

hi Jason,i don't really have the room and gear to remove the box' (shame because there is nothing wrong with it)..same with the engine ,so have been stripping the engine to sell items from it ..turbo's inlet,cams,throttle body etc...heads will be coming off hopefully soon....excuse my ignorance Jase,but i'm not 100% sure which is the transfer case...pmsl....i'm trying to resist removing anything that will immobilise the car in its current location(bottom of my garden..lol) as it will eventually need to be moved onto the roadside for removal to scrappy...cant even sell the rims just yet as need them to allow it move...sorry i can't be more helpful Jase....
