Hello. I'm from Russia and that's why I apologize for my English! Could you please tell me if it is possible to install the A/T w5a51 on another car with a different engine while using the TCU from the A/T w5a51?

I've no idea if it has ever been done.
There were changes to the W5A51 through the life of the VR4, with changes to the TCU as well. I'm not sure if anyone fully understands all the differences though, because if you put a late model gearbox into an early model car it doesn't work properly, even if you swap the TCU that matches the gearbox.
The W5A51 was also used on the Evolution VII GTA, so may be that is another route to investigate?

I found pinout tcu A/T galant/legnum vr-4 on the forum. I want to install A/T w5a51-3-dzb (airtrek). Differences between this A/T and galant/legnum vr-4 in the gear ratio of the main pair and the A/T housing. I think it can be done, but you need to know what signals the TCU receives from the ECU and vice versa. Can anyone have a full galant/legnum vr-4 circuit?
