I get my ayc light (1 bar) coming on when I'm going over cats eyes in the road or imperfections to the same degree.

Is this normal?

No, this is not normal.

Probably an indication that one of your rear tyre pressures has dropped by a few psi.

I agree.

Tyre pressure/tread wear is most likely the cause.

Tyre pressures were indeed all over the place.
They looked fine though and had only been done a week or so before.

Evidently a leak, but the ayc issues stopped instantly.
