Pinking?!

Hey Guys

My VR4 has been progressively getting a more noticable pinking /grr

Is this related to oil pressure etc (It pinks quite loud when cold, and when revs are elevated say from 2-3000rpm for a short period then seems to smooth off) or could be something mechanical - tappets or something? OR is it usual and I shouldn't listen too hard?! :embarasse

its the followers , do an oil change and flush and that should sort it , if it is pinking properly you will melt the pistons lots of £££££££££££££££££££

You never know, it could actually be pinking. A quick check of your fault codes would confirm. You're looking for code 31 (detonation sensor fault).
