Hey guys
I bought a 99 vr4. I live in Canada. Just wondering if there are any suggestions from Canadians on the site and where do u guys get most of your parts from? Oem and/or aftermarket. Thanks and any feedback is appreciated

I know that some items are shared with the eclipse, but as we don't get that in the UK I am not sure I can help too much on the specifics.
There is a company on the internet called Amayama that seems like it is set up to source parts from all over and ship them anywhere else.
In the UK we use Viamoto - I am not sure if they would ship internationally or not.

Hopefully someone will be along to help at some point.

oh hey! fellow Canadian!

there are a few places i get my parts!

https://www.amayama.com/en - they are great for lots of fiddly bits
https://www.viamoto.co.uk/ - I buy most of my driveline parts from these guys, pretty reasonable shipping even when i order brake rotors and other bits. (though my last
rotors came with a NAPA number so possibly able to get them locally)
https://stmtuned.com/ - Ive gotten a couple parts from them that were interchange from the eclipse.
https://www.ebay.ca/usr/vectec - This guy is out of aus, but i bought my timing kit and valve cover gaskets from this guy. the parts are good.
https://www.rhdjapan.com/ - got plug wires from these guys, they can have useful stuff. but limited.
https://japansparkplugs.com/boutique/en/ - get my plugs from these guys (DENSO IRIDIUM TOUGH VK20)
https://www.croooober.com/en/ - They get random and sporadic parts for the VR4's and the shipping is insane, but worth keeping an eye on

Napa sells WIX oil filters rebranded as their Gold/Platinum filters, give them Part number 51356XP and it will cross reference to a platinum filter. I use that one.

If you are looking for something specific hit me up and i can help you source them.

Ya same with mine. I’m considering pulling the engine and tranny eventually for a rebuild if I end up keeping it

I know that feeling, my original 4 bolt block is sitting in a box atm after it ate its bearings. currently running on a 2 bolt NA motor I pulled from a scrap SL. and the trans has no real reason to still be in one piece, But **** the car runs super reliably. It will eventually get a full build, but I am estimating 60K USD in parts to do what I want. So for now I just get to enjoy driving it on weekends.

staying twin as I feel its going to be more responsive on the track (building for circuit racing and not drag). But I am essentially planning a ground up nut and bolt full restomod for it.

Ya that thing would be a beast with that much money in to it. But I guess it adds up quick if you’re doing everything on it.

Hey man how’s it going? Any idea where I could find a set of fog lights for the galant? Also looking for a fender liner if possible. Thanks!
