has anyone had to replace the "cooler pipe" that sit's in-front or the radiator?
my mate has a 2000 (Y reg) 2ltr sport and the pipe has signs of a fracture??
we thought at first it was from a hose....the pipe has no peirce'd hole just a small crack! :embarasse
i think this is the first ive saw or heard of this problem :inquisiti
(hopefully a one off?)

It's probably been caught by a stone or something - it is quite vulnerable.

I know this is a "dead" topic but I found that the pas cooler pipe is aluminium and I would imagine extruded so no join but it seems to suffer from metal fatigue esp. around the metal(steel) clamp ie {} ( this shape!!) I found you just get seepage when stood but when under pressure substantial leakage, i just cut through with a pipe cutter, drained fluid and added a 3" lenght of reinforced air line hose and a couple of jubilee clips
