Is there any reason why we can't use smileycentral on the forum.
The forum format seems pretty similar to other sites I've been on that use this facility.
I know we have our own smilies on the site /help
But I wanted to use it to create a signature & it contains a lot more options .
Also would be nice to use gifs etc that you have on your own comp :smug:

You folks are obviously a lot more pc aware than me .
But I followed your link and the info seemed to regard it as low risk.
I thought a lot of stuff on the net slips spyware in the backdoor when you download it . ( No such thing as a free meal ?? )
I know they all ultimately slow your connection , but if you were to avoid everything that wanted to do this , you would severely limit your surfing.
As long as you run a decent firewall & virus protection & back up regularly whats going to be the damage ?
I know you can get spy aware & removal programmes , but I've never tried any .

i agree, but prevention is better than cure, atleast thats how i see it.

Spyware, or any form of virus is a big no no imo, and i'd rather not draw CVR4 users to it.

No problem .

I surf on a laptop thats not used by anyone else ....or for anything else. Any probs I'd just wipe it & start again.
I can understand that anyone using sharing a pc or using it for work etc would feel like that.
