I have since learned that the Mitsubishi Dealer who services my car can not do any repairs that they may find necessary under the warranty I am under.

I now have a dilemma.

Do I continue to get my car serviced at the same place, or to I select another company that is approved to service and repair my car.

I have since learned my dealer is moving in a few months, so it is time to fine another authorised warranty repair place.

May be a bit far from you, but my mechanic is apparently authorised to do warranty repairs for all but Protector (at this point, although apparently they sometimes just tell him to do them anyway)

He does a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend him to everyone.
FYI: his labour charge is $55/hour (or was on my last service a couple of weeks ago)

If anyone is interested, I can give you his details.

Now the kicker. It looks as if it might be a $400 job and because of my $300 excess, it'll still cost me $300

Would have cost me close on $600. So $300 (+ a couple things they wouldn't cover like hose rings/clips made my total $345) wasn't too bad.

What warranty do you have???
I'm with protecta - they have been good so far -I can take my car to any MTA garage for repair under warranty.

I was offered MotorPlus at the dealer.. I had Lumley before and wasn't impressed by them either.

In hindsight, maybe I should have looked around for better. But, I wanted the car, (with all the bits and bods it was supplied with,i.e 17" Alloys, Ralliart Suspension upgrade, Air-Induction, and a Type S as well.
