Hello from Kiwi Land

Yep another Kiwi.....

And another who will own a Legnum in the not too distant future. Hopefully a VR4 if i can squeeze the dollars out but will settle for a 1.8 GDI if i have to.

Will upgrade to the VR4 as soon after that as i can though, they look to be a very sweet car and plan to visit a few dealers in Wellington INSERT INTO post VALUES (NZ) in the next few months to get a better feel for the different types and years.

Any hints or tips when looking at these cars to purchase would be appreciated.

I would suggest you look in the Auto Trader online and in the book at the stationary shop. Also on www.trademe.co.nz there are several on there at different times. Istill look out for them to see who's selling what lol... Or just go to www.google.co.nz and put in 'Legnum vr4 nz' that brings some interesting things up.

Again hobbit welcome to the clubvr4 family...

Keep us informed of what ya buy, ask as many questions as needed. As the only stupid question that there is, is the one that doesn't get asked!

Pescha has already said everything - just make sure you get a VR4 INSERT INTO post VALUES (you will want one when you drive one:D)

Yup. The more i read here the more i want one. It looks like they can be a bit tough on the fuel tho.

Anything would be better than the 84 Mazda 626 i have been driving. But i might as well aim high and get a performance car if i can afford it.

Hey Hobbit check out Coventry Cars they have just got in 2 VR4's. My bro just bought one from there recently, a real minta and not too bad a price. Just make sure you get it checked out first. If you settle for a 1.8 they are not too bad but get a manual 2wd as auto sucks too much power. The 1800 GDi puts out a respectable 150ps and on a trip recently up north I got 911ks out of a tank of gas, thats with a/c on and 2 adults 2 kids and a boot full!!!
