If they are not meant to come out, why are they bolted in and why dont they come with the hub crriers from Mitsubishi???

They do come out, they get rusted in. May need to spray CRC/WD40 on them and let it soak for awhile then wiggle them out. If u are going to try and use them in ur new hubs for the Brembos don't bother, the sensors are to short on the preface lift models. U'll need to upgrade them to the later ones.

Also check to see how well the calipers sit, i notice that mine didn't sit centred with the rotor if viewed from the front were u can see the pads.

Ok, here is technique for my rear hub carrier as perfected by my local garage, when they wanted to get my car out and I told them Mitsi were not even going to quote a time for delivery on a new sensor until they had emailed Japan! Old hub is scrap, so drill down VERY carefully with progressively bigger drills until you can split the thinner inner side if the hub, lube up the sensor and slide it out (ooer) voila one reusable sensor and no I don't think they're in the market to do it again!

Derek,

I have just had a brainwave. I would think that Evo sensors would fit as the hubs are the same. Station Garage in Arnside sell them for £40ea. MIght be worth a call to them to ask for the dimensions of the sensor and see if they would fit. Even if the plugs were different you could sort that. I checked with Mitsy to see if they are the same part numbers but they aren't. Mind you that means bugger all. They probably are the same but just have a different part number for different vehicles.

Give them a call tomorrow and see just in case my little plan doesn't come together :Mr-T: :smoking:

I don't think Evo 4's has Brembos as standard. I think it was 5 onwards so that is probably why.

what is the difference in length ? does anyone know ?

On my one, the normal (97) sensor length (the metal bit) was 25 mm, needs to be 34-35 mm to be anywhere near the ABS wheely thing. (What do you call that thing??) :inquisiti
