Hey there...

Do any of you play PC Games like Unreal Tournament or Wolfenstien?

I am setting up a business kinda like a cyber cafe and would value any opinion on this subject.

have any of you played these games on-line or via a LAN?
Would you play these games in an enviroment that complemented the games etc...

Thanks as always

Oh and i would pay £20 for membership to this club and if I can be of use in web or graphic design then let me know.

I don't play PC games but I have been known to play the odd game on PS2.

But these Cyber Cafes are doing very well! and one that offered games could work very well!! it would keep the little car scratching ****es off the streets too.
You see the programs on TV where a bunch of people play against each other for hours in these places.
Giving net access to tourists is superb also, plus people who can't afford a PC and or a connection of their own.

I have played a game online once and enjoyed it but it isn't really my thing.

Great idea though and good luck!

I've seen these sorts of programs on 'Bravo' on Sky/Cable and on the normal 1234 and five channels, no shows in particular but I have seen them.
I did have Sky until I changed to cable for Broadband, there is a channel called 'Game Network' they show all sorts of up and coming games from Japan etc and they show alot of these games being played in a Cyber Cafe type place.

I haven't heard of internet safety training, but sound like a good idea.

i used to be a hardcore gamer.. mainly focused on a game called age of kings - i was one the dole for 6 months.. put a toaster beside me, loaf of bread other side, and some jam.. and played for 6 months hardcore.. i got within top 100 in the owrld at the game - before getting my job at shell, when i had to let it all go. was some of the most fun ive had in my life, and made some really good friends out of it..
I joined one of the top AOK clans in the world, DaRq and continued to play for a long time for fun.. beta testing Age of Mythology for microsoft.. which was nice, i played that for a while..

other than that played alot of day of defeat, halflife mod.. some counterstirke, but the bunny hopping prior to 1.3 pissed me off to much so i gave up on S..

erm.. thats about it really played .. some Quake III but they are to manic for me :)

I used to play counterstrike in cyber cafes from beta6 to version 1.3. Untill i bought my own pc and adsl. Slowed down on the computer games lately tho, played cs, diablo2exp, warcraft3... now i play with my vr4. and my gf.

but if you open a cafe, i suggest you cater for all your customers... know their names, supply food, maybe a smokin area, carparking, have competitions, free giveaways etc...

On a sort of connected front... with this little project i am running i have hit a problem.

I have designed an intranet web page for this new project and from the page i want to launch .exe's. trouble is that IE comes up with a message saying do you want to save or open.

I want to switch that question off and just open.

Any ideas ???

confused here...

pic of one of the horse to keep u all amused.

Thanks

Best PC game ever for weapon heads is MECHWARRIOR, a 3D VR sim where you pilot a range of around 20 to up to 100 virtual ton.....er, war robots i suppose is the best description. Top sim, completely addictive once you've mastered the rather complex control system and can be played online INSERT INTO post VALUES (if you have access to a quantum supercomputer that is! :D). Gets my vote of 10/10 and ive tried most of em over time.
