Yes you read it right ! Apparantly Tesco's are selling 99 ron fuel ! It's only available at a few places so far, but soon to be widespread. I also read their fuel is supplied by Esso, so maybe they will release it too ??

Tesco in Salisbury already have it......and at 87.9p

How cool is that if it happens countrywide !

Our Tesco started selling super last month. But it is only marked as 97? I tried 2 tanks, it has put me off trying any more. I'll keep my eye open to see if they go to 99.

Blimey - it might be worth the trip for us - we pay 94.9p for 97 at the one pump in Blandford that sells it :rolleyes4

Just been reading on Scoobynet, and looks like Tesco's plan is to trial the 99 ron fuel in the South East and if it is popular they plan to replace their LRP pumps with it - but of course that will take time and money so may take a while to spread nationwide (if at all).

Salisbury has always been a bit cheaper than North Dorset (despite only being 25 miles away) - competition is greater, I guess.

Here 95 octane is about 85.9, 97 can be got for 93.9, but is dearer at our only local garage - so it will be a bargain if we can get it

I think the concensus (on other threads) is that you should drive in your normal style for a couple of hours, otherwise the INVECS-II decides you're a nutter & programs the gearbox for high-rev gear changes.

This may be what you want, of course. /yes

Well, ECU reset and went for a bit of a blat today - the conclusion?

A great big

Just a shame we can't get it any closer - let's hope they extend the areas it's in, it would be great to use it all the time /yes
