There has been some interest noted about having a Mini meet on the North Shore, if we could do the usual and discuss a time, place to meet and possible run then I will post a poll to see what interest there is

I'd be keen, I just picked up my VR4 yesterday, and I'm very interested in coming along to a meet. I'm just at the top of the bombays, but going to the 'shore isn't a problem.

I also need to give someone money for a membership, I don't have any real way to send it to the UK. ;)

thinking about it, what are your opinions on a meet at the milford reserve at the end of craig road. I don't know how much space there is on a weekend to park and stuff, but it is quite a nice area.

e.g. Auckland Taka Golf course - > Wellsford -> Helensville -> Western Springs -> Auckland Taka Golf Course.

It will be good to take the VR-4 on a trip that stretches it's legs.

Date: Last Sunday in May.

I think we chould plan out a cruise.

e.g. Auckland Taka Golf course - > Wellsford -> Helensville -> Western Springs -> Auckland Taka Golf Course.

It will be good to take the VR-4 on a trip that stretches it's legs.

Date: Last Sunday in May.

mmmm... the back way between Auckland and Wellsford...

Of course to make the most of it, the cruise will have to start around 3am!

I think we are talking about the same roads... I just start in auckland and go through Coatesvill/Riverhead on the way to Helensville.

I know the Riverhead/Coatesville part reasonably well, but not familiar with the Hellensville to Wellsford leg.

Yeah, ok i'll do that. I'll get the route sorted for one way (back roads) and then members can choose to come back the same way, or to just cruise the main drag.


On a side note, I am not able to confirm my attendance yet though. Saturday would be better for me as sunday is offically my trail bike day.

sounds good, mum is over from Aussie that weekend, will be good to let her do some shopping around Botany while I go out, should have the new clutch in by then as well :)

well folks there seems to be alot of interest, am afraid I wont be able to give much input since I don't know Auckland that well and could be quite busy with the move and new job BUT I will be there!!!

I too could be keen. Should be taking posession of my Legnum VR4 either tomorrow or the next day, so would be good to meet some other VR4 people :)

Another thought. We could have two days of the same run, so those that can not make the Saturday Run can make the Sunday Run, but that may dilute both to a smaller number.

However, some enthusiasts will attend both days :D

Saturday the 28th by the looks of it.

The Wellsford cruise is part of the meet... obviously its an optional part, but a part nonetheless.
