I took my car to get a WOF, but it failed on a split Power Steering Rack Boot.

I thought, well since that needs doing, I'll get it serviced while I'm at it *it was wayyyyyy over due*

Kirk Motors
Part Retail Trade Price I paid
Rack Boot $41.80 $31.62 $13.20
250ml Pro Ma $45.55 $35.00 $16.99

Oil Filter $22.60 $15.32 $5.95
NGK Plugs $25.20 each $19.63 $12.40
Cambelt $192.84 $141.22 $101.30
Tenioners $168.20 $135.00 $94.19
$64.80 $34.32 $21.96

Others
4ltrs White Spirts $19.90
6 Ltrs Valoline DXL 15w40 $29.00

Total without Oil and Sprits
Retail Trade Price I paid
$769.89 $567.64 $405.97

The prices I paid was by using my brothers car business to get the discount.

I am currently working on getting deals for CVR4 members, since I was shocked at the cost's of the parts... In my view, you drive your car to enjoy it not to regret it come service time... I'll keep ya all posted of how negoations are going.... Well for those who are interested....

i'd be very interested if you can get us a cheap deal... the pain at service time is quickly forgotten but its still pain.

Well, that's what I'm in negotations with at the moment... My brothers company gets high proformance items for next to nothing because of the cars he has...

He deals in highend exotics, but has nothing to do with Jap cars... But he's happy for me to use his company to get distrubtor discounts on parts and stuff... The 3 prices you see are from dealing with the same company Kirk Motors, and as you can see, there is a big differance between them...

The main thing that I have to look out for is the word getting out to Auto Repair shops, because they don't get the same discounts as he does...

I'm not looking to make $$$ off supplying parts for fellow CVR4 Members, and nor is my brother... What we get charged for the parts, will be what the person wanting the parts will pay... Also, I'm going to chat to Kempys about supplying body parts also...

But the catch is this... there has to be the numbers to make it worth while for the suppliers, so I was thinking I will offer the discounts to the Evo Club as well...

So hopefully, guys... If you see a VR4 or Evo without memeber stickers, get them into the club...

Good effort 97 Legnum

I'm sure you will have a heap of people interested mate. You might want to try NZMMC and MSPORT too - although beware that some members or users may work for Kirk :inquisiti

Yeah I agree mate... Personally I don't like Kirk Motors because of the prices they charge the public, and trade for that matter... I have other suppliers I can go through also for bits and peices... But I'll keep the names of the outlets under my hat for that very reason...
