The packs are with me, so I thought I should explain the rules for the day:

All normal road rules apply, eg no slicks, no alcohol, car must be roadworthy, driver must be licensed etc.

Additionally:

1. Drivers must attend a briefing session. The first briefing is at 08.15, we have been asked to arrive for the briefing at 08:05. :snore: If you keep your wrist band on, then you will not have to attend any more briefings.
2. Helmets are compulsory.
3. Arms and Legs must be covered.
4. Track pass and indemnity form must be signed.
5. Track rules must be followed or you will be banned.
6. Report to the pit lane on time and pass a sound check. (100 dB @ 4500rpm)
7. No three wheeled cars allowed on track! :inquisiti

Suggested options:
1. Check fluids before the session.
2. Do not arrive with a brimmed tank of fuel.
3. Get insurance (Japfest recommend Competition Car Insurance, 0115 941 5255).
4. Increase tyre pressure to recommended high speed driving pressure.
5. Do not leave your car anywhere it should not be. There will be a removal squad on site.

Passengers:
1. Front seat only.
2. Must have helmet.
3. Must be over 12 years old AND over 5'2".
4. Must have covered arms and legs.

Track rules:
1. On the first lap do NOT attempt to go fast.
2. The circuit is NOT to be used as a racetrack at racing speeds. :rolleyes4
3. Overtake on the straight only. Overtake on the RIGHT. (Please move to the left if someone is close behind and let them pass.) Do NOT overtake on corners or in braking zones.
4. Check mirrors regularly.
5. Tyre squeal will be taken as a sign of excessive speed and the driver may get a yellow card.
6. Spinning, racing or driving dangerously will result in a track ban.
7. Speed limit of 10 mph in the paddock. Beware of pedestrians!

SO

Make sure you bring:

1. Helmet.
2. Driving license.
3. Long sleeved top.
4. Trousers.

Without these you stand no chance of getting on track!

Confused about:

"2. The circuit is NOT to be used as a racetrack at racing speeds".

?????
Why is everyone getting so worked up about wrecking brakes, having new fluids etc??
"Squeeling tyres seen as excessive speed" really, you dont say!!

Thought it was track session, am i missing something???
