Do you think they will allow us to run against each other for a bit of fun or will we have to run randomly ?

Maybe we could all agree we will pay to have 3 runs each INSERT INTO post VALUES (whoever wants to run the strip) and we have a competition for the best average time over the 3 runs and award a trophy to the winner or something.

Could be called the "Santa Pod 2003 Cup" or something.

I reckon I could get a decent one made and enscribed for about £20 so if say 10 of us entered we would pay £2 each towards the trophy ?

Just an idea for a bit of fun on the day. What do people think ?

A handicap system would be an idea and I like the sound of that cup name - I will go with that

we dont have to be runnign side by side though... go by times.. the overall fastest time at the end of the day would be presented with a cup

Butt we could organise a few head to heads..just wave people by till theres two of us lined up ready for action..

How can you judge the handicap? we have different model cars with 20bhp difference to start with, then you got minor mods to mods with greater benefits..

Someone could have a Skoda fit for the crusher and pull away faster than you or I.

I'm up for going against someone but if I win I'm just gonna brag like a little girl with a new Barbie.

You guys fight it out. :)

The last time i saw info on Santa Pods competition days was they were classing the cars by engine sizes!

They had up to 1.4, then 1.6 etc then whether turbo'ed or supercharged etc

We dont necessarily need to run at the same time as it will all be down to the computer print outs.

Seems to me that we have two classes: VR4's as one and the non turbo cars as the other! If you've got extra tricks/uprades then thats in your favour.

Two classes would mean that Kieren will at least get a 2nd place;)

PS ive heard that carrying three bags of cement in the boot helps with traction so recommend it to you all;) :D

Would you have tried cement then Zedy? ;)

I've heard if you fit really small wheels they also turn faster!

Car that looks the least like a VR4 - Barry if he turns up in his Mondeo
Most woeful VR4 story - joint presentation for Barry and I

Oh and the leakiest car - Me :D

Hmmmm I am not bitter !

Can someone lend me a £1 for a cup of tea when we get to Pod as its gonna cost me £600 to get my car there !
