Some may say why the need for a refurb, they look pretty decent to me. Well, why the hell not! They have some marks on them and that is enough for me to want to give them a good going over. Now sod this putting them in the dishwasher and the oven (mainly because I would end up with no testicles :rolleyes4 ) I have a much more cunning plan!

B&Q £3.99

So tell me peeps.......................

What colour shall I paint them?

Do I go for red and look like everyone else or shall I be different?

How about Black

Or Yellow

Or Trigger Mauve

I am favouring black at the moment, the AP Racing ones look cool in black, and I think they will suit my dark car very well /yes

As for the paint peeling off..................its all in the preparation :scholar:

hmmm. Picked them up off of fleabay at a price I couldn't resist... and couldn't afford, but let's not talk about that! They belong to a Range Rover Sport I think, are brand spanking new with new pads, and I haven't a clue whether they can be made to fit!! PSB and I will certainly have a go though!

I can't get them out of the car to take pics/measurements atm as the missus doesn't know about them yet:lipsrseal:lipsrseal;)!!!!!

Could you do me a favour Dave, and measure the max length and width of yours (calipers I mean :o) - I want to see how these monsters compare - they're flippin' huge. If it's a no go, I'll just stick them back on fleabay - properly advertised this time :)

OK, Toby has given me a few hours today...........so I thought I would have a look at painting the Brembos!

First of all I used the vinyl cutter to make custom made masks for the bits I didn't want painting

Then it was a simple case of firing a couple of good coats of high temperature paint at them and voila................... :evil2:

Davey boy, how about doing me some of those custom masks for a fee ;)

And I notice that you used the paintstripper with the pistons still in - has it affected the rubber seals in any way, or are you planning to replace them?

I can do that!

The stripper doesn't seem to have had any ill effect on the seals, in fact they look in tip top shape
