Well, I need two new tyres, so I need suggestions at to what to get.

Let me rule a few out first:

Goodyear Eagle F1: not made in my car's size
Goodyear Hydragrip: Not yet made in my car's size
Kumho Ecsta: Not made in my car's size
Pirelli P6000: fancy a change
Dunlop SP200: Had them before the P6000s, didn't think too much of them.

So, currently considering:
Uniroyal Rallye 550
Goodyear Eagle Ventura
Kumho KH13

Any others worthy of consideration?

Had some Firestones on the first V6. MUCH better than P6000's. Really didn't rate the Pirellis at all. The Firestones were £60 a corner all in, in 205 width and 15" wheel. Can't remember if the profile was 60 or 65! It's been too long!

Are you looking for 14" tyres? Not sure if you still have standard wheels.

I always ran the P6000s on my V6-24, and was very pleased with them. Once they started to wear they did dissappear very fast.

The Dunlops were'nt good at all.

I had Michelin's the last time, and they were good as well.

I've put some Uniroyal Rainsport 1's on my V6Sport, based on the theory that I need more grip in the wet than the dry, they were fine at Donington in the dry as well. Mine are 215/45/17, managed to get them at £75 each (trade).

Uniroyal (Rainsports) in my experience are absolute $hite;
How about Yokohamas?
Or....trade up and kill two birds with one stone and get a wheel and tyre package :)

I'm not changing wheels for several reasons:

Cost
Ride quality
Insurance
Cost

and let's not forget cost.

There's a lot of brands that don't seem to be considered premium in the UK (therefore lower priced?) that are very much so here on the continent.

Most notably Falken and Vredstein spring to mind, both here in Germany getting good reviews from ADAC etc.

The Falken ZE-326 got near perfect reviews, were it not for the fact it's worse than slicks in snow :rolleyes4

Already have done Anthony. I know what's available, but I want people's experiences with different tyres.

If the falkens are useless in snow, that rules them out. It doesn't snow a lot, but it snows more here than pretty much anywhere else in england... not enough for a set of winter tyres, too much for tyres that won't work in snow.

I'm coming down to the Kumhos (which an ex-rally driver and current motoring journalist friend really rates) or the Eagle Venturas.

...I'm coming down to the Kumhos...

Smart Choice.... Good price and they are hugely underrated in general.

Other nice thing about the Kumhos is they're only £40.70 each on mytyres...
