hey guys,
when the clutch is being pushed in and out its makes a low whiney noise, mainly in 1st and 2nd gear when its around 3/4 out ie, when slow driving in traffic,
has anyone had this problem?
or does anyone no what it could be?

Cheers.

Could be release bearing, or spigot bush(if VR's have one of these - not sure TBH). Also you say 3/4 pedal in 1 & 2 gears, worst case if clutch is actually fully engaged at this point and the above is not causing the noise then it maybe the gearbox you can hear as it would be unheard if only slight at higher speeeds.
Try depressing and releasing clutch at tickover in neutral with door and bonnet open and see if you can hear any change of noise. this won't check your gear shaft but may be able to narrow it down a little

yeah its only makeing the noise while moving off or reversing aswell, and when fully ingear and clutch is out then there is no noise.

best thing to do would be take it to the gear box shop (not gearbox factory) and ask them what they think.
