Dear all,
I'm confused over these figure..?!?!
Heard there is a EA5A 2.5 V6 24value 6A13..
similiar to EC5A VR4 engine?
Is it true?
Anyone has ever checked on your chassic no. ?

I think the A/C difference is saloon/estate. Or Galant/Legnum.

EA5A = 2.5 V6 saloon
EA5W = 2.5 V6 estate
EC5A = 2.5 V6TT VR-4 saloon
EC5W = 2.5 V6TT VR-4 estate
EA2A = 2.0 4G63 saloon
EA2W = 2.0 4G63 estate
EA3A = 2.4 GDI saloon
EA3W = 2.4 GDI estate
etc...

Essentially, the 'A' in EA5A denotes 2WD. The 'C' in EC5A denotes 4WD.
So an EA5A or an EA5W is a 2wd 2.5 V6 Galant, with a non-turbo 6A13 engine.... The 'A' and the 'W' denote whether or not it's a saloon or an estate.
An EC5A or an EC5W is a 4WD 2.5 V6 Galant/Legnum.... BUT this does not instantly make it a VR-4. The Legnum ST-R for example is a 4WD 2.5V6. It's not a Twin Turbo, yet the model code is EC5W.
