For those of you who dont know, a little while back I bought tsome tan leather seat covers/door cards from Interlec...

Finally got round to fitting the seat covers... I sewed the covers onto the original seats to follow the contours of the lumbar supports to avoid the trampoline effect.... then pulled them a bit and sewed more .......etc

Its certainly is a chew on this upholsering milarky...... took me f-in agees...:rolleyes4

Anyhow heres some photos of the seats fitted. Originally I was'nt keen on the beige and was considering dying them black, but to be honest know there in I think they go really well with the dark blue of the car so dont think I'll change the colour just yet...

being super critical I wanted the leather more taught in some places, however on comparison the fit is almost Identical to that of the leather interior of my mates bmw 5 series...

just the door cards to do:-

How did you manage to get the door trims into two parts? Can you advise? :inquisiti

Top Stuff Dan,

That colour interior always goes well with blue (like in the beemas)

You will prolly start sliding around on the seats on high speed corners

the two parts are joined together using melted plastic rivets...
I cut/melted them off with my clarke gas soldery thing /help

I kept all the plastic and will hopefully heat up and melt and attach again....... thats the plan anyway......

failing that I can always glue back to togeter or use small screws

cheers,

UPDATE:

Right, got one of the door cards done..... Eventually just used some spray glue on both surfaces and lots of trial fitting and measuring....

The leftover plastic was used to reconnect the two door halfs...

one down three to go...
