What would cause the car to dive left for a second under heavy, high speed braking. At low speeds the braking seems fine. Seems to be one front brake engaging more pressure than the other. Not Mega scary or anything just a bit weird.

One caliper grabbing sooner, or one wheel with movement. Check for movement in the steering linkage, then its time to check the pistons in the caliper.

Thanks, now I've got somewhere to start looking :)

The other thought that springs to mind is that the Guide and Lock pins have run out of grease and are dragging, causing one caliper to move more slowly than the other.

also after working the brakes a bit, get out and see if one disk is a lot cooler than the other. sometimes brakepads can get crap in them (like break fluid) and stop actually working. had it once, you could hold one of the disk after heaving braking but the other was very very very hot
