Hi folks,

I'm Wayne and I live in Jamaica. I plan on purchasing a 1998 galant with a V6 engine. Could some very knowledgeable person PLEASE give me ideas of a turbo kit to purchase for it. I'm not even sure if the engine is a 6A12 engine. What other version engines do they have in V6 form for 1998 RHD galants??I want to be able to drive it everyday so I don't want my engine to grenade.

One more thing, suppose I decide to go instead and buy a 1998 I4 cylinder galant. Would it make much sense turbokitting this engine in this galant???

Not sure if turbo charging a V6 is actually viable the V6 must have a compression ratio of about 10:1 and the VR4 must be about 8:1 – serious modifications to the cylinders and possibly the block to achieve this. If you prove me wrong please let me know – I would love to turbo charge my V6.

My advice buy a VR4 if you want that much more power!!!! :evil2:

The 6A12 is a 2.0 V6.
The 6A13 is a 2.5 V6.

Like Slim says, if you want forced induction, why not buy a VR4? Only available in RHD, but also comes with 4WD.
