Phenolic inlet manifold gaskets

Guys, we have an opertunity to piggyback onto an FTO group buy .. One of the guys is making some Phenolic inlet manifold gaskets. These help prevent heat transfer from the block to the inlet manifold and oh boy do the VR4`s need it. After a sedate 5 min drive in Dereks car I couldn`t touch the intake plenum.

As yet I have no figure as to how much cooler the inlet manifold runs with the gasket, one has been fitted to an FTO GX and it keeps the manifold cool enough to touch after a spirited drive, although on the rolling road it did still get very warm. Gizzmo sell similar gaskets for £48, but Ive enquired and they don't do one for the VR4.

Fitting is fairly easy and we will do a 'how to' for everyone.

The group buy breakdown is as follows;

2off - £50 ea
10off - £45 ea
20off - £35 ea
30off - £32 ea
40off - £30 ea
50off - £25 ea

Delivery time should be 2-3 weeks from the group buy end.

I've been meaning to contact potential suppliers for a while now. I'm interested as long as the gaskets are as thick as possible. the greater the thickness the greater the cooling effect.

Take off intercooler pipes on top of inlet, undo 4 (i think) bolts and lift manifold off... take out gasket, replace new one and put it all back together again..

4 bolts on Pipe.
2 intercooler pipe/hosing clips
3/4 bolts that bolt odwn the manifold...
