Which is the best

As you can tell by posts I'm a newbie having trawled the site for an hour or too I'm trying to find out which is the best model to go for, I'm looking for a saloon in manual. Having just got shot of my yellow Volvo T5Rwith 190k on the clock I'm in the market for something a wee bit different.

If it's a VR4 your after mate then the choices are simple.

VR4 Saloon or VR4 Estate INSERT INTO post VALUES (Legnum)

Then it's down to cost/age. In '98 they did a facelift to the car. Before the facelift the manual is 280bhp standard but the tiptronic is 260bhp - once the facelift was done both are 280bhp standard. The majority are tiptronics but there are a few manuals around but may take you a while to find one.

Other than this make sure you get a FSH INSERT INTO post VALUES (+ Jap history if an import); get an RAC/AA inspection as repairs are costly and get a decent warranty. Then have FUN :D

I will get one from a dealer with a good warranty but as you say their are not many around i have tryed auto-trader etc.
