Hi folks, just got my induction kit in, so will be fitting it tonight. i'm sure i read somewhere that when fitting it, disconnect the battery for a few mins install it, then reconnect the battery run the engine at 3000rpm for a few mins and this reprograms the ECU, or was i just tired when i was trying to read something??

its a 2.0GLS.
cheers.

That's about it, though you don't need to run it specifically at 3000rpm. Better to give it a good workout at all kinds of RPM and throttle positions. My old 2.0GLS used to take a fair old while to re-learn everything, so take it a good run, make sure you use your aircon for a bit so that it gets used to idling with the compressor running, and don't get worried if it's idle speed is on the verge of stalling for a while after you've reset it.

i aint got no aircon lol i have the basic one. live out in the sticks. so i'll give it a good blast round some back roads then a good run along the bypass, although need to watch what im doing these days, they have just put up a 30 odd mile stetch of speed cameras that measure ure distance and calculate it all out.. that induction kit will fit wont it??

hmmmm just fitted the induction kit and MAF sensor adapter aint exactly the best fit, so going to have to get some better bolts for it, and is it suppose to just hang there?? or have you guys made something to secure it????

you need to make up some kinda bracket to support it, also you need to get some cold air on it with a cold air intake somehow...........

Anyone know if this will fit on a 2002 2.0?
Can't see why it won't but just want to check before buying.
