Barry and I met the chap from Henford Motors (Malcolm) at Japfest. He kindly asked if he could advertise any VR4's he gets on here and we said he could. He has offered to pay the club an introducers fee if the buyer sees the ad here.

So here's the first one. This is the description from his website advert:

"MITSUBISHI LEGNUM VR4 2.5 TWIN TURBO 4WD 280 BHP ESTATE , 5 Doors, 2000 V Reg , 39,000 miles, Metallic Black. A STUNNING EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE VERY QUICK MODEL!!! So what was the explanation?

can it be based on registration date?

I was under the impression it was based on date of manufacture :inquisiti

This is not the first time a pre facelift has turned up on a post facelift plate...............something very fishy!

Must be something to do with the registration date as mine sat in a company window in London as a show car before being registered.

It was bought new from japland, the company bought 5 and shipped them over here so they were never registered in japan. 4 were put on the road. I never found out what their reg was.

its based on the registration date  that car has been sat somewhere unregistered for a couple of years then someone has finally registered it! but why? id go for the facelift IMHO. If i can find it theres an "old" sierra cossie on a "new" plate as the first owner never registered it, dry stored it, then reg'd it with now a recent plate!!!. May be thats why its only £9k

He's got some lovely cars, rare too. That Maserati is nice and its not very often you see two Accord coupes together. Not in Leicester anyway.
