/help

On my wiper arms I have these

At least I did as they have both broken off

Any ideas what they are for? At first I thought they were to add some weight to the blades to stop them lifting but they have sprung hinges on two axis

You can adjust the length and the end is rubber. I can make out the manufacturers name as Seikosangyo.

I'm sure they must have had some really useful purpose but I can't think what :rolleyes4

/Hmmm No me neither.

I guess if no one else has them then I can't be missing much.

I did a bit of Googling for SeikoSangyo and they seem to be a accessories provider - Cupholders, etc. In Japan... Af first I thought these may be diversity antenna holders? Or possibly mounts for LED lights?

Dunno! /Hmmm

It does look like you can attach maybe a wind deflector to the ends at a guess

So I went through the Seikosangyo website using Babelfish and eventually found them.

Best I can tell they're to hold the wipers away from the window so they don't get frozen to the window.

Mystery solved.
