Hey lads im new to the site as you can see. Im trying to find out the offset for a 2001 vr4. Trying to get a set of 17 OZ wheels onto it but OZ say they wont fit and will wreak the wheels if i try put them on. I seen a pic with super leggys on the vr4 just wondering what to watch out for.

Thanks for any help.

I've 18's on my leggy, with an offset of 45. still only just enough room for my 4 pot brembo's.

any fouling at full lock? Inside of wheel arch and on the wall of the wheel well. On my old car I used to get the wheel rub against the plastic at full lock.

I was thinking about what offset to go for with bigger rims, wether to keep it around the 40 mark or go lower but have problems with the wheel arches

Hi, there has been lots of info on this subject, do a search iam sure you will find loads, meanwhile here is info to keep you going.

I have 7 x 17's and the offset is 45mm, I am running Goodyear GD 03 tyres 235/45/17, My Legnum is a pre facelift model (without wheel arch extensions) and they are just legal, (slightly outwith the wheel arch) this size is ideal with the later models

I think the smallest offset Ive seen is 35mm and the biggest 47mm, at the end of the day the difference between 45 and 47 is 2mm (doh!) which is feck all, but it is also a 2mm gap of clearance between wheel and brembo caliper, The style of the wheel affects your clearance also, hope this has been some help, cheers Louis
