I've contacted Auckland Performance Tuning who have advised me that a Unichip is available for $2200+GST fitted and tuned to my car, which I thought wasn't too bad if you compare this to the price of an Apexi AFC (about $1000 tuned) and an HKS FCD, for about $230.

Does anyone have any opinions on a piggy back chip other than the Unichip? The Greddy E-Manage seems to be popular too

What do you get for $2200 ? Just a chip and a tune. ?!?

How much extra power and torque will they give on an unmodified car.

I don't know exactly how much, and that is the thing that concerns me. They have tuned a 3000GTO and got it to about 340HP at the flywheel from 280HP stock, but of course those have a bigger engine and bigger turbos.

I think I'll get it done after I get headers, exhaust, etc done, then they can fully tune the car properly. They haven't actually done a 6A13TT yet, so I'm trying to get them to drop the price because it will be a learning experience for them too.

if anything they will increase the price from the extra hours it takes them to put it in & tune it :P
