thoughts on this anyone? I apologise for the spoiler on the purple car not being on the correct angle, I'm not a photoshop expert. I think a spoiler in that position would be the perfect thing to break up the large back window on facelift wagons. It would be mounted in 3 places, on the metal sides of the boot lid, and right in the middle where the hole for the rear wiper goes.

I think the easiest way to do it is to buy another facelift models spoiler, chop it in half and extend it in the middle section. The indicator lights might also need to be moved elsewhere, depending on how high the spoiler gets mounted. Thoughts?

From a practicality point of view... will it obstruct your vision when reversing?

Also, is there any aerodynamic benefit? I expect not, as I am pretty sure the air stream de-attaches causing a reasonably large vacumme area behind the wagon.

On the looks side, my personal opinion is that it looks eewwww

It won't do much aerodynamically, it might stop so much dust and water swirling behind the car and making the back window filthy.

I think I will position it high enough so there is a bit of window below the spoiler, but yeah it will restrict vision quite a bit.

Don't do it.. It looks like a piece of guttering at that level.. :inquisiti

I seen one like that on a focus and expected to a nest in it full of eggs and you will need to clear it out every month .. :uhoh2: :toilet:

I still think it looks ok, I guess I'll have to find another spoiler or two and give it a go.

Avander, over here we have 'kempys' who specialise in Mitsubishi spare parts, they have a good 300-400 cars there they use for spare parts, as well as having access to all the dealers in NZ and Mitsi in Japan. When I was there last they had 2 face lift legnums, 4 older legnums and about 10 8g galants to pull parts from.

Nice detective work there Pescha. That one is only for pre-facelift cars, but it does give some idea about what I'm trying to acheive, just one a facelift model

Thanks for mentionning Kempys, I found their website www.kempys.co.nz and made an inquiry, fingers crossed!

Hmmmmmmmm !! After seeing the Pescha has posted i think i changed my mind.. /pan Think when it's done like that it looks pretty damn awesome ..

Just a thing to think about if you do go for the second spoiler.. :inquisiti And thats that you will proly have to put some stronger struts on the tailgate to keep it from dropping down.. It's suprising what a weight difference it will make..

i3ooyah, if it didn't have the spoiler right on the top though I think it would probably look quite good. Especially on a car like yours with a body kit already on it.

ThEbIrDmAn13 would you be able to post up some links to American websites with body kits on it?
