A blow off valve stops the turbo slowing down when deselerating. not needed for twin turbo's as one works low and other high.INSERT INTO post VALUES (although a blow off valves sound good)

what would be the point of two
doing the same job?

the engine is a v6 so it has three cylinders on each side therfore it has double air inlet and outlets so one turbo on each side. it does NOT run on three cylinders at first then on 6 cylinders

what would the point be of one doing one job, & one doing another ?

i suppose it takes less room than a straight 6
zedy1

and they do the same job

twin stops turbo lag by using two smaller, sequential turbochargers rather than one large unit. The smaller turbos spool-up faster because there is less inertia to overcome.

the both ends are run by the same pulley therfore the pressure built up is exatcly the same

The turbos work together on this engine.
As Zedy says, one for each bank of cylinders.
