I'm about to fit a towbar and note there are different types sold according to whether the suspension is 'standard' or 'self-levelling'. Also the Galant manual that came with the vehicle refers to standard, up-rated and self-levelling.

Any suggestions as to what the standard configuration on a 2001 Ralliart VR4 Estate would be?

quadal has fitted a tow bar to a 2001 ralliart estate. I guess a PM to him would be a good place to start.

There was a question about whether a towbar for a standard estate would fit a VR4 due to the fact that the VR4 has a diff and rear axle. I can't remember what the answer was.

they shouldn't matter about the diff, when i fitted mine the ends of the braket only sit into the chassis rails by about 8-10 inchs
