double exhaust

he guy's,

i have a question.
i whant double exhaust under my car a galant '99 2.0 16v.
i see some pic's whit double.
some guy's said that's impossible, because of the fueltank and the fuelhose.
the exhaust is than to hot and there is some danger.
how do you guy's do that????
