what petrol do you guys use? what is the best brand around?

is 98 really worth it? i've heard somewhere that it is pretty much same as 96
but have more additives

i've been told that BP is the best, mobil/shell about the same and caltex is the worst

i personally use mobil-96 but maily cause their gas stattions are always pleasant nice & clean unlike BP & Shell who dont seem to care about condition of their ones

i used to fill my car with mobil-98 but when i moved to Christchurch i wasnt able to find it here so i had to switch to 96

96 will be fine, from my driving experiences i find that mobil 98 is better then bp ultimate. if you can go with 98 then get 98

I have switched to the "new" BP Ultimate 98 and the car seems to run well. I used to use Mobil Synergy 8000 (98). Can't say I notice much difference, I will be getting AA points now though.

the cars run such little boost standard that having the higher octane fuel really is a waste of time. i wouldn't bother running 98 in a car until it was pushing over 15psi all day.

I run 98 because it is supposedly cleaner. not for it octane level. I like to have a clean fluids in my car. I have heard people running 96 notice it to be rougher.

I use gull and now laugh at the guys that use 98. I used to use mobil it was better than BP, then changed to Gull which is closer to 98 than 96 just cheaper.

I get BP's 98 because I live close to a BP that sells it, it is the easiest petrol station for me to get to everyday.
