    i believe the cable you have is open port 2.0 not open port 1.3 openport 2.0 has the pin connected. have you tryied to use the data logging side of evoscan rather than the actuators side of evoscan. next time adam is round at mine i will plug my evoscan setup plugged into adams car. to see what happens. it would be really odd if the actuators only worked with PFL cars. i have a reflashable engine ecu in my car, it is a MH7202F / H8539F. the facelift ECU is MH7203FA / H8539FA not sure...

    it is a good thing you are learning mechanic skills, you will need them to keep a VR4 on the road with out crippling you bank account. they have a high maintenance cost and it is only going to get high as more and more parts are stopped being produced by mitsubishi.

    i took the car out for drive yesterday and the central locking now works perfectly. i did not remove battery connection, maybe it just needed a little time to sync with the ETCS system or whatever that cream coloured box is down by your right foot in the drivers footwell. in my case it was the failing actuator in the driver door lock. so it need replacing. it now has a really strong lock unlock motion, one might say it is a tad violent now. but that is because i had every door card off...

    i think the after market intercoolers most people fit are 600mm x 300mmx 76mm this is the core size the end tanks make it about 760mm total width i think it is the height that is the most difficult dimension to accommodate 300mm so it might be tight and hang down a bit lower than normal plus there is always the issue of fitting it behind the front crash bar you have to do some modifying of the the vertical bonnet latch mounting point. but you can get all this install info from the other...

    It looks like you have not set up evoscan correctly and installed the correct FTDI drivers. you should be able to click the start data logging button and the the event log: box saying link established goes green. if you can't do that than you have not setup evoscan correctly. did you install the FTDI divers after evoscan was installed. evoscan comes with some crap old drivers that don't work any more. you have to install the new drivers after evoscan is installed. i am using windows...

    ah i see in your picture the clip is orange and you push the clip away from the open part of the clip by rotating it clockwise and it will pop off the rod and the rod will pull out forwards.

    i had the same issue today, with te door locks. i oiled all slide mechs up and moved everything manually but this did not help. i think the solenoid making the lock release leaver move is very weak. i had a spare solenoid/lock mechanism so i swapped it out. i will have a go at fixing the failed one when i get a chance but not yet. the remote solenoid and lock are part of a single unit. to replace the unit you have to remove door card. remove the plastic vapour sheet

    once you have loaded evoscan you can plug the cable into you laptop and you should get a message saying there is a more up to date driver available to be installed. install it and that is all you should need to do. you don't need to load anything from the disks. don't click on anything other than the following to bleed the ayc lines. plug cable to laptop plug cable to car. use the same setting you have for connection (open port 2.0 and Mitsubishi MUTIII) select AYC ecu as you have...

    well i have tested the nck off tactrix openport 2.0 cable and it works for ayc actuators. so it will be good to help with your ayc bleed. sorry for casting doubt on the cable thing i just could not believe it would work. i have not tested anything else just data logging and ayc actuators. i have not tested the Read and write of the ecu this is whyi will be keeping this cable or buying another cable to test it. i would go buy one of these cables just for the actuator functions alone....

    Still have to test the cable tomorrow, I did not get round to it today . I got waylaid designing a coil on plug system for the vr4 . I have the connectors, I know the wiring and I have made some brackets in cardboard to mount the rear coil pack I just need to transfer them to metal and measure the actual cable run lengths so by the end of tomorrow I should have A CoilOn Plug setup on my car and be able to make a plug and play kit for all you guys struggling to find original vr4 coil pack.     cable turned up today. i will test it tomorrow, no reflash connector supplied with it. but do have my own reflash connector so will be able to fully test it at some point. i will check the AYC actuators and that should confirm if it is a good purchase or not. I am not sure i am brave enough to try and writing to the ECU but i will try reading the ecu. this will give me a little confidence to try ecu write at some point, i will have to, to prove if it is a fully functioning cable.

    the leather seats in the galant UK spec cars where all just leather over the original upholstery. Like a basic seat cover. at least if you change your mind in the future you can rip the leather off and have the original fabric seats. the uk spec leather with the white stitching is leather but has some fake carbon fibre looking vinyl inset panel at the back of the seat bottom and the bottom of the seat back. not sure why they did that but that is what it comes with. the UK spec seat...

    Hi there spoke to you before with few issues with my 1996 legnum.well at the moment it running fine touch wood just want to no any contacts that could. Remap mine and hopefully have a newer ecu as mine is 7201, have spoke to Jason about remapping and other ecu to fit but for some reason won't get back to me hope you can help
