There’s also difference in shape between vr4 coils, pfl are bulky boxy, fl are much smaller with what you described as cylinder on top. Never hold and see fto one’s.
Used in good condition, surface rust on threads and flaked paint on springs, one front spring snapped, they widely available from BC at about £35 piece, looking for £300 plus p&p, can be collected from M46

Yes I have couple na v6 prior v6tt
And yes FTO have similar setup to v6tt not sure about length of coils but rocker cover at front bank is straight swap to VR4 so FTO colis should fit too.
non turbo v6 have completely different ignition setup via distributor and 6 leads, but seriously its 2 second to ask google :-) but on the other hand there's so little posts here it may need to be liven up a bit
If it’s saloon then rear side Bolsters are different and not fit without mods
And as Nev said u shape latches varies so look and you should be able to see difference
Just to add 2 pence to already explored left right and centre subject, make sure you get rear bench hinges, things that hold seats up. I cant remember which combo got what (FL vs PFL or UK vs JDM) but they could be thin or thick ones and are PITA to get separately.
