    235/45/17 on a 8" wide with a +35 offset is going to be getting close to the rear arch with the sidewall. Within a few mm. There are always options but if you go wider/lower offset then be prepared to have to solve rubbing issues.

    Intercooler, exhaust with down pipes and decat or high flow cat, fuel pump potentially but with a fuel pressure regulator if you do. Tune. That will be enough to take a second off your 0-60 time and make the car feel a lot more lively. Your headline power will not increase by much, but the peak torque and area under the curve increase by a very decent amount.

    Yes, but....! The MAF in these cars is a Karman Vortex type, so there is a grid in the air flow that generates vortices which are in turn sensed. For this to work the flow entering the maf needs to be laminar. Many intake systems create their own vortices and if the air entering the MAF has already got a swirl going on then the MAF tends to over-read the air flow and supply too much fuel, causing lower power and worse consumption.     Stalling issues can happen with VTA. I run an HKS SSQV and if I dump at high pressure and then keep the clutch pedal pressed the engine will stall. However I can drive around that and the child in me likes the noise!

    I know that some items are shared with the eclipse, but as we don't get that in the UK I am not sure I can help too much on the specifics. There is a company on the internet called Amayama that seems like it is set up to source parts from all over and ship them anywhere else. In the UK we use Viamoto - I am not sure if they would ship internationally or not. Hopefully someone will be along to help at some point.

    I don't have one, but there are two white versions. One is solid and is on prefacellift cars. One is pearlescent and is on the COTY special edition prefacelift and facelift cars. Just a heads up in case you get the wrong white. Sorry for your bad luck.

    Nice name! Evoscan is not reliable with DTCs. Flashy Dash is the only reliable method IMO unless you have access to very expensive Mitsubishi MUT equipment. Your acceleration issue in the mid range, is it like you have lifted completely off and back on to the accelerator pedal? The whole car jerks quite violently. If so, this is likely to be fuel cut, which is either too much boost or a boost leak. In any event it is caused by the MAF seeing more air than it thinks it can supply fuel...

    There are a lot of coolant pipes in the engine bay and a small leak in a pipe will give similar symptoms to a failed head gasket. Most head gasket failures (and there aren't many) are down to running high boost on standard stretch head bolts. Davezj has done this job I think? My memory is that the rear head does come off with the engine in the engine bay but it is awkward at best.

    Love the Max Power comment! I'm with Tim on the induction comments, but with a slightly different main reason. The MAF is very susceptible to air flow changes so if the flow over the MAF is not linear and uniform then there is a very good chance you will not fuel correctly. Most pod filters will either give more flow in the middle or a slight vortex. This usually leads to over fuelling, so a loss of power plus even worse MPG. Where are you in the UK?     done this before with no hassle. all you have to do is modify the speedo config chip eprom. and you can customized the hi vis speedo layer along the way

    I quite frankly don't believe those numbers are comparing apples with apples. The model Y has no parcel shelf, so it seems that they count the whole volume behind the rear seats. It has a sloping rear screen so like pretty much any other hatch/compact SUV there is not enough height for two greyhounds.

    When you have a car with a lot of modifications it is difficult to know where to start. Air leaks in the intake pipework after the MAF is a good bet though. "Boost cut" is a factory ecu method of not going lean - if the car thinks the load on the engine is too high for too long it cuts the fuel. The VR4 ecu does not monitor boost and therefore does not control it the way some might expect. And also, therefore, what you call "Boost cut" is more correctly described as Fuel Cut - the ecu cuts...

    Go under the car and look up, the horns are where you think they will be from that diagram - one on each side of the car. I don't think that can be a VR4 wiring diagram, as there is no theft horn that I am aware of. There is no factory alarm, so why fit a theft horn?

    As per Evaldas, Gently push the tab at the end of the lonong part with a screwdriver, whilst pulling the grill horizontally away from the car. Start at one end and work accross. The clips all stay behind in the holes, but once the grill is removed you take the clips from the car and refit to the grill. Then just push the grill back on - you hear the click of the clips. I'm 95% sure there are only 6 clips. One in each corner and two near the bonnet latch.

    Hi Nick. Just need to pick your brains about auto box oil. Had my Legnum 6 years now. Donít know how old gearbox oil was when bought her but was clean. Iíve done 30k miles since and only changed trans filter every 10k. Am doing major MAJOR service right now. Rebuilding both turbos, cambelt and water pump, new rad and intercooler, wheel bearings, plugs, brake lines, fluids etc including filters. Box oil is now bit dirty so looking to change it. Was going to go fully synthetic but donít know if will suit the box. Will need to drain torque converter anyway as donít want to cut corners so have you any recommendations?

    So finally itís the lash adjusters to source. I have read a lot about how much of an improvement the 3mm holes are compared to the standard 1mm. There seem to be a lot for sale for the 6A13TT that clearly state that they have the improved 3mm holes.

    Do you or anyone you know have any information regarding if there is a
    MD151382 / MD377560 version that has the upgraded 3mm holes. I imagine that it would be worth having those in the long run if they exist!

    I don't know about sourcing in NZ, but in the UK you could do worse than pri racing.
    Remember that different versions of the same engine may need different lashers. The V6-24 and the VR4 use different versions, for example. (6A13 and 6A13TT)

    Like you mentioned the V6 sport lash adjuster part numbers are different. They are

    I have sourced the rocker covers gaskets which appear to look the same as the 6A13TT but have a different code. Same with the cylinder head washers that have a different number to the 6A13TT and finally the spark plug seals which share the same code as the TT.
