    Will Rose MS replied to a thread Dohc Valve Lifter Removal Tool in UK Services for Sale / Wanted
    Couldn't decide what else to do with my Friday so ended up making the tool myself using a scrap TV stand. Just to say, I'm fortunate enough to have a spare engine to use for testing and practicing. The steel plate was 3mm thick to start with but after cutting out the shape, I discovered that space is at premium and I had to shave the end down to around 2mm. Tested it on the second cam from the front (of the car) and it works spot on, not so well on the first cam though so still room for...

    I'm gearing up to do lifters on mine as well in the near future and as the shape of the tool is rather simple, I'll probably make one. Has anyone here actually made one and if so, what thickness? I've seen them at 1.6 and 2mm on eBay and Dave suggested 3mm?
