Does it put you back in your seat when you accelerate? I'm really not a racer but I do want a nice sound (check) and put you back in your seat feeling under acceleration (no check)

Seems par for the course, government doesn't want you to own anything. If you can't repair it or modify it, you don't own it. Seems to be the main reason they're pushing towards EVs as well, make people rent cars that have to be replaced every 10 years because the batteries are dead - no-one buys them, all rented. I bent a wheel on my backup Corsa and was amazed how much all the major car companies have gone out of their way to stop me doing a minor wheel swap - neither mine or either of my...

I'll be interested to hear your feedback on both once fitted! I did promise myself that I wouldn't go for forging or spend more than £5k getting my car in good shape and tuning, although probably pushing towards the figure faster than planned thanks to welding, oil leak, power steering leaks, tyres, window fixes etc. Thanks for posting the pic as well, the rotor is massive by comparison!

Evening all! I've spent most of my evenings this week looking at the various threads around upgrading the internals of the td03 to td04 bits and other ideas. Has anyone else seen the mamba td03 kits on eBay? Looks like something I could easily take to a garage with a new ECU and if the claims are to be believed, go and pick up a 400bhp beast a few days later. Seems too good to be true! What are your thoughts? Is this just the same as upgrading td03s then they end up blowing up 200...

However I should say....I really want to at least drive my car before I commit to that! Still not back from the garage! And I'd want to be confident in the auto gearbox taking the power and not requiring full forge etc

I've read on here that the standard ecu will do pretty much everything, upgraded ECU is after turbo work on the list of staged upgrades If you are considering going the whole hog and a holset hx35 or similar conversion, you're going to need custom pipes, if you're considering doing it with an external wastegate, could be complex stuff however, I wonder if we could do it cheaper if there were 2 sets being made

I'm considering my options for ECU, they seem to be coming in around £1000.... however https://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?59995-SFX-ECU-Diagnostic-and-Tuning-Services Looks like a foxdie tune may be a good way to go, after you've done the intercooler etc. For the intercooler..... it's a 600x300x76mm Intercooler On the standard upgrade threads they recommend getting the hoses because most of the eBay coolers are 76mm at the intercooler, however turbozentrum UK do one that is...

Luckily I bought the 45 and the 90, I bought them before I bought the intercooler but at least they'll work! Thanks though guys! The turbozentrum UK website sell 63mm intercoolers so that might be a cheaper mod for all the future tuners :D

Thanks confused, so effectively they're going 76mm at the intercooler to 63mm on the rest of the engine so I need to get the 76mm intercooler - thank you! I've ordered the hoses already from the linked site so hopefully this will be a nice little easy mod now! :D

Sorry to bump but does anyone know if the hoses are reducing from 76mm to 63mm or the other way around?

One popped up on eBay for about an hour a while ago, I was tempted, it's gone now but I wonder if they just took it off to change the listing as it was at £995, might be worth a call https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175071719229

Hi guys, I know we just had an intercooler thread but I ordered a mishimoto m-line and now they're saying out of stock. The staged upgrades thread says 600x300x76mm, I've ordered the standard pipes from SF supplies as suggested: Reducing 45° Elbows 76-63 Blue delete item - 1 @ £31.72 ea. Reducing 90° Elbows 76-63 Blue delete item - 1 @ £26.06 ea. Murray 50-73

I'm in Manchester but up for a trip once I have the galant back - I'm definitely feeling that I need to do the fuel pump, the 530 injectors and sort out the ECU side of things. I've asked them to keep all the standard bits that they change out, I'm going to take them some Christmas beers in the garage tomorrow if they're open and I'll say hold off the air filter. https://www.fensport.co.uk/collections/clearance/products/blitz-lm-alloy-radiator-18804-evo-4-5-6 Do you think this will fit...

Thanks TAR! I've asked them to keep the cold air box and k&n filter the previous owner stuck in. Definitely not considering the bonnet now. This is seeming a lot harder than anticipated, when I bought it, I thought twin turbo V6, I'll just get myself a copy of max power at Tesco, order a few parts, take it to a mitsi garage and have an m5 beater in a week :D

Ah yes I was aware of that - I'll be honest, I knew I'd lose a little power but I wanted a whoosh noise I've been looking at a carbon fibre Evo vented bonnet to keep the temperature down but I'm concerned about the water getting in and rust! https://www.vipmotorsport.co.uk/Mitsubishi-Galant-1999-2003-Seibon-Carbon-EVO-style-carbon-fibre-bonnet?tag=&sort=rating&order=DESC&page=210&limit=75 I've actually been hoping to see someone with an aftermarket vented bonnet in a car park since so I...
